Come, Let Us Pray

Come, Let us prayABOUT THIS BOOK

. Is prayer merely psychological—a matter of the mind?

. Does God require that we pray because our prayer is essential?

. Can prayer in any sense help to determine the course of history?

. Is prayer indispensable to human living and destiny?

. Does man have genuine dialogue with God?

These and other matters relating to prayer are put forward by the author who sees prayer and worship as the two primary factors integrating all theology from the side of human experience and thought. Whilst all men and women pray, and pray constantly—not excluding the most militant of atheists—the author sees prayer as the richest and most powerful element for true living. To him prayer is the factor which establishes man in practical partnership with God. In Covenant relationship with the Father-Creator-Redeemer, man is able to participate significantly in the course of human history.

If this be so then the book is one we ought to read.

Geoffrey Bingham (1919-2009) was an Anglican minister. His experience as soldier, prisoner of war, farmer, writer, teacher and family man as well as theologian, gave him grounds for writing material which is Australian in tone, and relevant to the society in which we live. Some have found his books life- changing.
